Her Story
Our extraordinary matriarch, Tangela Thompson. To the world, she was a dedicated supervisor, a pillar of strength, a leader of character, and a woman who poured care into every person she managed. But to us, her family, she was something far more irreplaceable: she was the very heart that kept us all beating together. You could hear her laughter miles away. She loved to have a good time with her family and friends.
She was the proud, devoted mother of five children: Demarquis, Brandon, Brandy, Jamel and Virolyn and a fiercely indulgent grandmother "GIGI" to ten beautiful grandchildren who lit up her entire world. Every sacrifice she made, every long day she endured, every ounce of strength she summoned was in service of the family who she loved without condition or limit. Her love was not quiet it was bold, warm, abundant, and all-encompassing.
She moved through life with a grace that was uniquely her own. Whether she was leading her team at work with quiet authority, or stepping out with one of her cherished Dooney & Bourke, Michael Kors, or MCM handbags on her arm, she carried herself with a class that turned heads and earned admiration everywhere she went. She didn't just live life — she elevated it, and everyone around her was lifted in her presence.
Those who loved her knew that her color was purple. It was the color that captured everything she was: royal in spirit, vibrant in personality, and bold in love. Alongside her favorite hue, she found joy in the thrill of a great action film, a gripping suspense story, or a heart-pounding thriller. In those moments of cinematic escape, she was completely, blissfully herself.
We are honoring her memory by ensuring she receives the farewell she so truly deserves — one that reflects the magnitude of her love, the depth of her strength, and the beauty of a life lived with such intention and style. As her children and grandchildren navigate a world that feels smaller without her, we carry her laughter, her lessons, and her love forward every single day.
What She Loved
Royal, vibrant, and bold — purple was her color to the core. It was her signature, her spirit, her crown.

Nothing captivated her more than a great action or suspense story — she lived for the thrill of a gripping plot.
Above all else, her greatest joy was her five children and ten grandchildren — her proudest legacy.
